Annual Show 2006

Lists of Class Winners , Trophy Winners , and Sponsors & Donors follow this short report.

The 2006 Annual Show was held on Saturday, 19th August, at The Larkhill Community Centre on Thorley Lane in the centre of Timperley Village near Altrincham.  This was the first show under our new show manager Roger Godfrey.

Despite the unusual weather pattern of the previous few months 17 exhibitors entered many different cultivars with 114 exhibits making it onto the showbench giving 91 paying visitors a good display of fuchsias to look at.  This was an unexpected increase on last years 87 exhibits.   As usual the volunteers in the kitchen did a magnificent job providing tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes throughout the day.  The usual raffle did well, as did the plant sale, though we seemed to be down in the number of plants offered for sale.

A good first show Roger - well done.
